Boat Hire

Calshot Sailing Club is fortunate enough to have a fleet of dinghies available for hire to members. The boats we currently have in our fleet are:

• 3 Toppers – The Topper is an 11 ft boat designed for one sailor. It is easy to rig and sail. It is an ideal boat for a young sailor or smaller adult
  
  
• 2 Lasers – The Laser is a 13ft 9in single handed dinghy, suitable for the more experienced sailor. It has three sail sizes to suit sailors of different weights
  
  
• 4 Picos – The Pico is an 11ft 6in dinghy that can be sailed by one or two children or one adult. It is an ideal boat for the less experienced sailor.
  
  
• 2 Hartley 12s – The Hartley is a 12 ft boat designed for one or two sailors, it can be sailed with a main and jib or just the main. It is very stable and is ideal for the less experienced sailor.

Any member who has a basic level of competence is allowed to hire however to ensure safety we insist that they are only used when a club safety boat is on the water. Club boats cannot be used if the wind strength exceeds Force 4 (16knots)

All boats are used extensively during our training programmes enabling tuition and coaching to be provided for everyone, even if they do not own a boat.

Payment of boat hire fees can be paid in cash into the wall mounted tin to the right of the computor, or by BACS direct to the club account detailing who and what the transaction is for
